“What Lies Within” 10x10 Acrylic on Canvas

"What lies within" is an 8x8 acrylic painting I completed in 2018. It is in a private collection, though may access prints of various sizes through this listing. As an educator and activist, art has become my self-care. The thing that I do to heal from all of the injustice and pain in the world. When everything around me looks bleak and unbearable, I can create the beauty I wish to see. What Lies Within is that beauty, the peace, the serenity, the life that I wish to put into the universe.

It was painted using several techniques including fluid acrylic, impasto and traditional brushwork. I have been told it has a very Monet feel to it, which I take as a compliment more than a claim.
